POLICE have made a fresh appeal for help in catching a knifeman who robbed an off-licence.
The attack took place in Booze Busters, Stanley, on Saturday, October 19, at 9.30pm.
The robber threatened the cashier with a large kitchen knife and made off with about £100 from the till.
He was wearing a blue, military-style sweater and what was described as a cloth bag made into a balaclava. He is said to have a strange accent.
It follows two knife raids the previous week on a newsagents and a petrol station in the Chester-le-Street area. Detectives say they are still looking at whether the incidents are linked.
