POLICE have appealed for witnesses following the stabbing of a 22-year-old man during an argument at a Metro station.
A police spokesman said the victim got off the Metro train at the South Gosforth Station between 10.15pm and 10.30pm on Friday, October 18.
He became involved in an altercation with a man who stabbed him, puncturing one of his lungs.
The injured man was detained in hospital for two days.
His attacker was in his mid-20s, 6ft tall, with a fair crew-cut, wearing a green bomber jacket, dark trousers and boots.
