STARSTRUCK Jody Molden thought she was on track to meet her pop idol Robbie Williams at an exclusive show.
But Jody's dreams ended when the train carrying her to the gig had to stop halfway to London because of bad weather.
Jody and her steelworker husband, Wayne, 36, eventually arrived back home at Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, in the middle of the night.
Jody, 33, had won a radio competition for tickets to the show in front of 400 people at the Pinewood Studios.
Robbie sang six songs from his new album, Escapology, for a TV special to be screened next month.
Jody said: "I got on the train with Wayne and we were both on top of the world. I am a big fan of Robbie, he's a great entertainer and I could not wait to get to the show. We were both really excited about it.
"When the train terminated at Doncaster I could have cried."
But Century FM DJ Paul "Goffy" Gough heard of their plight and gave away the two tickets he was planning to use himself for the second of Robbie's two shows.
Jody and Wayne were on their way to London for the second time today with Paul's tickets.
Paul said: "When we heard what had happened everyone at the station was gutted. The least I could do was give up my own tickets."
