ARRIVA Trains Northern is again promising a "robust" service for customers when members of the RMT rail union stage their latest walk- out tomorrow.
The company has said that about 80 per cent of its network will be operating as normal, despite strike action by conductors who have rejected a four per cent pay offer from Arriva.
Talks involving conciliation service Acas recently broke up without agreement.
Ray Price, managing director of Arriva Trains Northern, said: "Due to the excellent support of those employees not engaged in the strike, we will provide a robust service for customers this Saturday.
"We share our customers' frustration for the inconvenience they will suffer with this further strike action, and would like to assure them that we will be providing as many services as possible."
Customers wishing to travel tomorrow or use early morning services on Sunday are advised to check before they travel by contacting Arriva on 0870 602 3322 or National Rail on 0845 748 4950.
