New County North Durham Youth League
There were 12 goals when Redheugh visited Wylam and won 9-3 in the Under-16 division. Adrian Sutcliffe scored a hat-trick for Wylam and two players from the Reds also scored three goals. Chris Wilson and Terry James were in top scoring form and George Whitfield bagged a brace of goals.
Cleveland Hall ended 3-1 winners of their home game with Blaydon. Chris Clayton struck twice and Anthonly Falcon also found the net while for Blaydon, their only goal was credited to Shaun Lockey.
In the Under-17 division West Denton hit Wear Valley with a 6-0 defeat as Jonathan Watson, Shaun Gartland and Stephen Dodds all scored twice. Montagu Boys Club ended 4-1 in front of Felling Magpies whose only goal was scored by Mark Berry. Stephen Uuzzed (correct) scored all four Montagu goals.
One game was played in the Under-17 division league cup and Consett progressed at the expense of Prudhoe winning 3-0 with goals by Daniel Appleby (2) and Mark Grinter.
Clubs from the league were involved in the Durham County Under-18 Cup. Redheugh made it into the next round with a 5-2 win over Sunderland Grindon Boys when Tony Thirkeld rifled four goals.
Leam Rangers, however, went out losing 7-3 to Washington Envelopes while Washington Dunlop had the better of Consett winning by the odd goal in three.
Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League
Consett suffered a 9-1 defeat against Low Fell in the Under-11 division when Jordan Nelson rifled four goals, Ricky Fenwick struck a hat-trick and James Hall bagged a brace of goals.
Only one other game went ahead and Beamish and Winlaton ended 3-3. Michael Chadwick was credited with a hat-trick for Beamish. The remain fixtures were postponed because of inclement weather.
In the Under-12 section Carl Armstrong (3) and Neil Gibson (2) led Chopwell to a comfortable 6-3 victory at home to Consett and a couple of goals by Kevin Johnson enabled Leam Rangers Y to defeat Blackfyne 3-0.
Scott Martindale was another player to score a hat-trick and Elliott Miller hit a couple of goals as Whickham Fellside B romped to a 9-0 success at Blaydon, while Low Fell easily accounted for Swalwell, finishing 5-0 ahead of their vials.
The others games fell victim to the weather.
In the Under-13 division Chris Dunn and Jason Dobb both scored three times in Winlaton's 7-0 defeat of Low Fell C while Low Fell B enjoyed better luck as they won 6-2 at Blaydon where Tom Berj struck three times.
Leam Rangers ended 6-1 winners over Consett when Chris Noble and Michael Curry both scored a couple of goals.
Two games were played in the Under-14 division and there were victories for Beamish and Whickham Glebe. Beamish ended 6-0 ahead of Cooperhall while Whickham Glebe went one goal better putting seven past Burnside when Michael Banks found the net on four occasions.
Two teams from the league were involved in the Durham County Under-14 Cup and there were mixed fortunes. Redheugh saw off the challenge from Bishop Auckland St Marys by a 3-0 margin, but Leam Rangers went out of the competition losing 3-2 to Sunderland Humbledon Plains Farm.
In the Under-15 section Stocksfield just had the edge on Blackfyne winning 4-3 when James Prince netted twice, Blaydon went nap at Ryton winning 5-0 thanks to a couple of goals by Shaun Best, while Felling recorded a 9-2 success in their home game with Beamish.
Rohm and Haas JOC Hetton Youth League
Lumley, who share the leadership with Jarrow St Bedes and Ryhope, romped to a 7-1 victory when clubs were involved in the subsidiary cup.
Lumley built up a three goal interval lead and Simon Dolman maintained his scoring form finishing with four goals. John Lidster bagged a brace and the woes of Dunlop were compounded when Chris Yates also hit the target. Philip Ingram scored a consolation goal for Dunlop.
Lambton Street, who have yet to win a point in the league, upset the form book when they beat Jarrow St Bedes 2-1. An early goal by Clayton Avery gave Lambton Street confidence and they went in at half-time two goals ahead after Andrew Winters also found the target. Jonathan Mullen pulled a goal back for Jarrow, but Lambton Street held on for a narrow victory.
Ryhope visited Hebburn and finished 4-2 winners following an exciting tie. Glen Bosher gave the Wearsiders the lead from the penalty spot and Mark Lawton quickly made it two. Kevin Cunningham reduced Hebburn's deficit but almost immediately Bosher headed in at the near post. Before the break Hebburn were back in with a chance after Neil Brabbs was on target from the penalty spot.
Despite having most of the play in the second period when they used the wind to their advantage, Hebburn failed to find a way through the Ryhope defence and the only goal was scored by the visitors. Wayne Carr was involved in the build-up and Richard Hall completed a clinical finish.
The game between Sacriston and Herrington was postponed.
Fairs Software Tyneside Junior League
Oone game went ahead and West Denton inflicted a 4-2 defeat on newcomers North Tyneside College, who are still without a point following three fixtures.
Stephen Dodds bagged a brace of goals and others on target for West Denton were Mark Rutherford and Andrew Brunston. Ian Graham and Shaun Graham replied for the College.
Consett and Prudhoe have faired worse than North Tyneside College since they have both played seven games and have yet to pick up a point.
At the top Walker Central have a narrow one point lead over Redheugh who have a game in hand, while West Denton are third from top, three points behind Walker Central, but they have played one additional fixture.
Blackfyne
THE Under-8s beat Felling Magpies 2-0 with Jonathon Telford and Peter Leech were the scorers and Keiran Martin was man of the match.
The Under-9s Blackfyne Greens beat Cleveland Hall 4-2. John Meadows (2), Andrew Turnbull and Mark Shaw were the scorers with Jack Marshall man of the match.
The Under-10s Blackfyne Bullets drew 0-0 with Low Fell C. The Bullets did everything but score hitting the bar twice and the post once. Man of the match was Peter Westgarth.
The Under-13s Blackfyne competed in the Under-14 County Cup and put up a creditable performance against Hartlepool St Francis 2000. Despite being beaten 7-0 three players had oustanding games for Blackfyne - Liam Bartle, Josh Kelly and Connal Reed who was man of the match.

Riverside
The Under-8s, Under-9s and Under-11s were without a game at the weekend. The Under-9s RAR progressed through to the third round of the league cup after beating Doxford Park Wasps 3-0.
The Under-10s gained maximum points from their games thanks to victories over Redby Blues and Hylton Castle. Christopher Martin scored the only goal against Redby and he scored again against Hylton Castle with the other goal coming from Gardener.
The Under-12s lost their first game of the season going down 5-4 to Houghton Boys.
The Under-13s were away to Tyneside Juniors in the third round of the League Cup.
Craig Towers opened the scoring for Riverside in the first minute and then went on to complete his hat trick. Riverside eventually ran out comfortable 9-2 winners with the other goals coming from David Martin (2), Adam Barker, Carl Graham, Chris Cuthbertson and Mark Peck.
Richmond Town
Otwo matches survived the bad weather conditions when the Under-10s travelled to Thirsk and team one lost 3-0 with team two losing 2-1, writes Ben Prosser.
There was yet another good win for the Under-14s which keeps them in pursuit of two promotions in consecutive seasons. They beat South Park Rangers 4-1 fighting through appalling conditions, not just the weather but the poor pitch. Chris Westgarth scored an early opener followed by two more goals from this seasons leading scorer Josh Wooff. They went into half time with a comfortable scoreline even though they were put through considerable pressure with South Park Rangers hitting the bar twice.
South Park pulled one back early in the second half with a penalty. Nathan Fisher then scored a fourth goal but Richmond Town won the match comfortably in the end.
Thirsk Falcons
THE Under-10s played Richmond in their first home game of the season. Thirsk A beat Richmond A 3-0 with goals from Dan Easton (2) and Ryan Mckendry. Thirsk B also won their game 2-1 against Richmond B, Robin Cook scoring both goals.
