The Carol Andrew Singers will be staging a programme of music to suit all tastes on Saturday, November 9, at the St James the Great Church, Melsonby.

EVENING LECTURE: An evening lecture by Howard Coutts, keeper of ceramics, will be held at Barnard Castle's Bowes museum on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Mr Coutts will speak about Josephine Bowes and The Road to Impressionism, with an introduction by the museum's director Adrian Jenkins. CHRISTMAS FAIR: The St Charles Church, in Tudhoe Village, will hold its Christmas fair on November 16. The fair committee is appealing for gifts and cash donations to help fund the event. TABLE SALE: The Smarties mother and toddler group, which meets at Elm Ridge Methodist Church hall, in Darlington, is holding a table top sale on Saturday, November 23, at 2pm.
