NORTH-EAST caterers are the worst in the country for not washing their hands after visiting the toilet, a survey has revealed.
According to a Food Standards Agency survey, 54 per cent of North-East caterers do not wash their hands after visits to the toilet and 62 per cent did not appear to wash their hands before preparing food.
Other findings in the survey revealed that less than half of North-East caterers have a certificate in basic food hygiene.
