TOY SALE: Yarm Primary School, Spitalfields, is holding a toy sale on Thursday, November 21, in the main school hall, from 6pm to 8pm. A chance to buy nearly new items at bargain prices.

CPRE MEETINGS: Regular meetings of Stockton CPRE (Council for the Protection of Rural England) take place at the Yarm Youth and Community Centre, High Church Wynd, on the second Tuesday of every month at 7.30. All are welcome.
SCHOOL QUIZ: Friends of Egglescliffe School music present a general knowledge quiz at the Egglescliffe Community Centre, Durham Lane, on November 2, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £3.50 including a pie and peas supper. Tickets are available from Egglescliffe Arts college clerk on (01642) 352570 or (01642) 651254. People must bring their own drinks. All proceeds in aid of Egglescliffe School music department.
TABLETOP SALE: The Friends of Victorian Eaglescliffe are holding a tabletop sale on Saturday, November 9, from 10am to 1pm, at the Eaglescliffe community Hall, Yarm Road. Entrance is 50p including refreshments. Donations for the tombola, which can be left at Eaglescliffe Post Office, Station Road, will be much appreciated. Proceeds are for the upgrading of the war memorial in the Preston and Eaglescliffe memorial park.
TELECOM MASTS: There are three applications for tele-communication masts in Ingleby Barwick. The first is on the verge near Safeway Petrol station on Ingleby Way, the second is near to the Myton public house and the third is in Sober Hall Avenue, near to Bernica Grove. Anyone who has not been notified about the applications can contact the planning office at Stockton Borough Council or Councillor Jennie Beaumont on (01642) 785304.
FESTIVE FAIR: There will be a Christmas Fair at St Francis of Assisi, Ingleby Barwick, on Saturday, November 16, from 2pm to 4pm. There will be stalls including a tombola, cakes, books, toys and bric-a-brac and refreshments will be available. Admission is 50p for adults and 20p for children with all proceeds going to the church building fund.
COMMUNITY HALL: The management committee of the community hall in Ingleby Barwick is discussing exten-sions to the building. The hall is owned by the parish council and run by a committee of parish councillors, represent-atives from the user groups and co-opted members. It is heavily booked in the evenings and a popular venue for parties. For bookings, call (01642) 874073. Views can be made in writing to the Community Hall, Haresfield Way, Beckfields.
SILVER BAND: Muker Silver band will play in Worsall Village Hall on Saturday, Nov-ember 16 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £4 including refresh-ments. To book call Vivienne Targett on (01642) 781825.
