Tow Law League: Tow Law Dan's Castle A became "King's of the Castle" when they landed the Championship for the first time following their odd point home win over Esh Football Club, who ended up in third place, separated from the Champions by Tow Law New Market B.
Dan's Castle A went three up with wins from Ian Johnson, David Craggs and Lee Stockdale whilst the visitors levelled with wins from Dave Bellamy, John Robinson and Alan Brown. The Castle took the first doubles but Esh came back to square the match again by taking the second doubles. In the decider the Castle went to victory when Jamie Dowson and David Craggs beat Alan Brown and John Robinson.
Despite losing by the odd point at Tow Law North Point, Tow Law New Market B did enough to take the runners-up spot. The Point had singles points from Gary Watson, Dave Morton and Stan Simmons, whilst the Market levelled with wins from Gavin Tennant. Tommy Sloan and Dave Spencer. The home side then took the first two doubles to clinch victory.

Willington League
Hunwick Club lost both their unbeaten record and their top spot when they were beaten by three points at Willington Brewer's Droop A. The visiting reigning champions only took one singles point when Mike O'Brien won, whilst the home side had wins from Alan Atkinson, Billy Wragg, Stuart Wayman, Stephen Britton and Paul Atkinson. The Club recovered to take two of the three doubles.
Willington Black Horse Tavern also moved above Hunwick Club in the table after they won by the odd point at Willington Cottles B. The singles were shared with Carl Weir, Alan Mains and Dave Harland winning for Cottles whilst Anthony Stewart, Tommy Parkin and Steven Pardew replied. The Tavern edged to victory in the decider when Anthony Stewart and Steven Pardew beat Keith Jackson and Stan Lauder in the decider.
The Brewer's Droop A and the Black Horse Tavern share the top spot, two points ahead of Hunwick Club, who are two ahead of Hunwick Quarry Burn.

Bishop Auckland and District League
The second qualifying stage of the League Singles Championship was held at eight venues with one player going forward to play on Thursday, November 7 at a venue to be announced. The Finals Night is planned for November 14 at a venue to be arranged.
