The cast of television programme Heartbeat have agreed to send a team to play Whitby in a fund-raising game on Monday, November 11.
Whitby are raising cash to pay for a new grandstand while they are also hoping Chris Waddle and Paul Gascoigne will be able to play as part of a celebrity XI.
Bishop Auckland have introduced a "Kid A Quid" scheme for all their home games for the rest of the season. The offer applies to all children, be they accompanied or not. Bishops are looking for more committee men. Anyone interested should contact vice chairman Tony Duffy.
