Darlington RA Youth maintained their position at the top after a hard fought encounter against Newton Aycliffe Navy Club.
The fixture was transferred to the RA ground after it was found Navy Club's was waterlogged. After the first half had ended all square Youth found the net three times in the second without reply through Ross Wetherell twice and Dean Lawson.
Shildon Elm Road WMC suffered their first league defeat when visitors Darlington Travellers Rest came out 6-3 victors. After an early incident, both sides were reduced to ten players, the first half was very even and ended 3-3, both Carl Dawson of Elm Road and Rob Creek for Travellers had outstanding games, Max Ripley netted four times with one each for Matt Cole and Ryan Sandick, for the homeside Darryl Meadows hit a brace with the other going to Richard Nash.
Darlington GSOB were first off the mark against Darlington The Mowden. After missing a couple of early chances, it didn't take Mowden long before they were back on level terms and once they had settled took control of the game and finished 6-2 winners, Ritchie Dodsworth knocked in a hat-trick with one apiece for Callum Rielly, Richard Daly and Steve Thompson. Paul Rogers and veteran Mally Leafe scored for Old Boys.
Simon Hares was on target with four as Stillington The Royal had things well under control against a game Darlington Hoppers Transport as the score of 8-0 suggests, Paul Cleary (2), Kevin Brown and Shaun Campbell being the other scorers.
Aycliffe Saints had the sun behind them in the first half and led 5-0 against Darlington AFC Greyhound at Hundens but couldn't add to the score in the second as Greyhound put up a better second half showing, they though could only muster a single goal scored by Mike Ryan. For Saints Johnnie Craig hit a double, his second direct from a corner kick, John Hall, Michael Cave and Craig Hancock shared the others.
Up at Chilton there was a nip and tuck encounter between Wheatsheaf Wanderers and Darlington Skerne Park (Savers). In the end it finished all square at 4-4, Paul Hanafin (2), Kevin Duggan and Martin Scott scoring for the much-improved Darlington side.
