Harrrogate Squash closed the gap on rivals with a 12 point haul in their latest Division One clash.
Their 3-0 away win against Collingham II puts Harrogate just three points behind second placed Ilkley and nine adrift of leaders Adel.
Harrogate's hat-trick of victories against Collingham were achieved by Nicola Pratt, Nigel Heward and Martin Wickenden.
Leaders Ilkley suffered a 2-1 away setback at former champions Nomads.
Meanwhile ex-Harrogate champion and Nomads' No 1 Cameron McMaster made his first appearance of the season. His victory at first string against Gareth Hutchinson proved vital. Hutchinson ran out of steam in the fifth game after a challenge which had swung in either direction until the final furlong. McMaster took the match 9-4, 9-7, 6-9, 4-9, 9-0.
Andy Hall (Nomads) beat Andy Hutchinson, brother of Gareth, 9-5, 5-9, 9-5, 4-9, 9-6.
The only defeat for Nomads came when John Riley went down to Phil Maunsell 9-4, 7-9, 9-10, 10-8, 4-9.
Changes in leadership and the comparatively close call at the top of the table already indicates the race for honours could well see several twists, turns and even banana skins before the end of the season.
Moortown, fielding a stronger side than in their past few matches, toppled league newcomers Chapel Allerton.
Chapel were allowed to join the league in Division One, officials believing they would be too strong for a place in Division Three.
Currently confidence in Chapel Allerton has been dented with, so far, little indication they are about to take the league by storm.
Scores - Chapel Allerton 0 Moortown 3 (Moortown names first): Phil Davies beat Nick King 2-9, 9-10, 9-7, 9-6, 9-4; Dave Lines beat Peter Ball 9-4, 8-10, 10-8, 10-8; Geoff Mortimer beat Miles Gooseman 9-4, 9-4, 10-8.
