ALTHOUGH dreadful weather was forecast for the Zetland Hunt PC showcross at Manfield on October 20, the event was blessed with a cold but pleasant day.
The club were very grateful to Mr Chris Graham for allowing the event to run at this time of year.
The showcross had been postponed from the spring, but is always popular with local riders as a good opportunity to school novice horses or enable young riders to gain experience of competition at a low-key event.
Competitors in the nanny and novice and triers classes were awarded premium rosettes if they completed a double clear.
The results of the novice 2'6'' classes were as follows. - PC members: 1 Chloe I'Anson (B&WofY); 2 Naomi Philbrick (ZH); 3 Leonie Bleasdale (HH). Non PC members: 1 Sue Russell; 2 Helen Orton; 3 Judith Bulmer.
