A PART-TIME soldier has showed his readiness for peace-keeping duties during nationwide exercises.
For the past month, Warrant Officer John Dixon, of Darlington, has been involved in exercises involving more than 1,000 British and American troops in the UK.
The event included British soldiers from the 3,000-strong Royal Logistic Corps Territorial Army (RLC TA) and an American transport unit.
Warrant Officer Dixon, 48, is a military HGV driver serving with 160 Transport Regiment. He said his team had been responsible for moving everything from stores to ammunition and equipment.
