FED-UP North-East rail passengers face further disruption today due to a 24-hour strike by conductors on busy routes in northern England.
Conductors are striking on Arriva Trains Northern routes in a continuing pay dispute.
Their union, the RMT, has also called five other 24-hour strikes . These are scheduled for Saturday, December 21; Monday December 23; Tuesday December 24; Tuesday December 31, and Saturday February 1.
The company said it hopes to operate around 80 per cent of its services.
