FUNDRAISERS have been rallying round to help a five-year-old affected by a neuro-degenerative condition.
Last year a fund was set up to help Rosie Henry - helping to pay for alterations to her Northallerton home.
Now, more than £3,000 has been added by staff at Hambleton District Council with the help of an Army catering team.
They held raffles, sponsored runs and a ball, during which a team from the Royal Artillery based at Topcliffe, near Thirsk, worked for free.
Rosie's mother Diane, the elections officer at the district council, said: "We are very grateful to everyone who has donated cash to Rosie's fund.
"It will make a huge difference to her life, beginning with the work to create better facilities at home for her.
"Rosie captures the hearts of everyone who meets her. Despite her problems she has maintained a mischievous sense of fun which keeps us all going."
