AWARD-WINNING artists from around the region are showcasing their work in County Durham this week.
The creativity and skills of designers across all disciplines have come together for the Eurocrafts exhibition at the Durham Light Infantry Musuem and Durham Art Gallery.
Among them is the work of Eddie and Margaret Curtis, who live and work in Weardale, and specialise in porcelain.
Highly respected around the country, they are gaining an international reputation.
This year, they won the best ceramacists award at the Gouda International Festival of Ceramics, in Holland, competing against 143 ceramists. Next year they have been invited to exhibit in Japan.
Dennis Kilgallon, of Reddust figurative sculptures, is also a recent prize-winner and is showing some of his pieces, designed mainly for the garden, at the exhibition.
Steven Gregory, from Wear-dale specialises in remodelling old jewellery, has won the Goldsmiths Craft Council award for excellence in craftsmanship and design several times.
Recent commissions have included church silver, medals, embellishments for musical instruments, rings, brooches, ear-rings and necklaces. Exhibition items will be for sale.
