A COURSE is being held in the Yorkshire dales to help protect some of the area's wildflowers.
Instructors from the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers will spend a weekend in Middleham giving advice on how to lay hedges.
After learning the theory, students on the course will be given the chance to work on a blackthorn hedge.
The course runs from Friday, November 15, until the Sunday evening. Accommodation is being provided in the village hall. The cost is £130 (£65 for concessions), or £85 for non-residential students.
