YOUNGSTERS will recreate the past when they perform in a play next week.
English and drama students from years seven to 11 at Egglescliffe School, Eaglescliffe, are to perform The Rock 'n' Rollin' Ratz.
The play is set in 1950s America, where rock and roll is just becoming popular.
Tony Gears, director of the school's arts college, said: "This play is a bit of a departure for us. It's a play with music rather than a musical, and it has some great performances from a young and largely inexperienced cast."
The play will be held in the school hall from Wednesday, November 13, until Friday, November 15. For details, call (01642) 391810.
