TICKETS are now on sale for one of the sporting occasions of the year in the North-East.
The Northern Echo Local Heroes Awards, powered by npower, take place at Tall Trees Hotel, near Yarm, on November 14.
Firmly established as the most prestigious awards night in the world of grass roots sport, the event again promises to be a night to remember.
Suitable for the whole family, it's an evening of fun and emotion as the stars of grass roots sport - those who play sport for the sheer love of it - are duly recognised.
The evening will be hosted by Peter Barron, Editor of The Northern Echo, and Paul "Goffy" Gough from Century FM will be chairing a laugh-a-minute version of A Question of Sport.
Stars of professional sport, including Newcastle United's Craig Bellamy, and Newcastle Falcons' Rob Andrew, will be among the guests.
A charity auction will also raise money for Sports Aid Northern, which pumps money into grass roots sport across the region.
Tickets cost just £10 to include a four-course dinner. Telephone now on (01325) 505286 and be part of an unforgettable night.
