ENTERTAINMENT nights at a Darlington pub have not generated unacceptable noise levels or caused nuisance, councillors have been told.
The Wheatsheaf Hotel, in Yarm Road, was granted an entertainment licence in May, despite a petition signed by 300 residents.
The council's licensing committee placed a condition on the licence that monthly meetings were held between the new landlords and their neighbours.
On Wednesday, the committee heard there had been no problems since the pub re-opened.
Licensing manager Barry Pearson said three of the original objectors had written to him to compliment the pub and no further objections had been received.
Licensee Jill Twydale said about 12 residents had attended a meeting at the pub last month and they were happy with how it was being run.
