HEAVY rain during last weekend provided the Northallerton Motor Club with three big waterfall sections for their Bilsdale Trophy Trial on Sunday.
The event attracted 111 entries and was run over one big lap, taking in seven groups of sections. It started and finished at the Sun Inn, Bilsdale.
David Pye on his Sherco ran out a clear winner, finishing some 20 marks clear of Mark Harrison on his Gas Gas, who was just five marks ahead of third-placed Peter Marris (Sherco).

Up in Weardale, the Newcastle Motor Club held their St Andrew's Trophy Trial on Sunday over a big course between Nenthead and Allenheads. There were 104 starters who rode three laps of the 12-section course.
Mike Phillipson from Crook showed the form which won him the Scott Trial a couple of weeks ago, bringing his Beta home without loss of marks to take the trophy.
Up and coming rider John Crinson, also on a Beta, took the runner-up place just three marks behind.
