TEESSIDE

Billingham - 10.30am parade from East Avenue Community Hall, Billingham, to the Garden of Remembrance in Station Road, at 11am.

BOOSBECK - 2.30pm wreath-laying at war memorial, followed by 2.45pm service at St Aidan's.

BROTTON - 9.45am service at St Margaret's followed by 11am wreath-laying at war memorial.

DORMANSTOWN - 10am service at All Saints, 11am wreath-laying.

EGGLESCLIFFE - Service in Egglescliffe Parish Church starts at 10.15am, before moving to the War Memorial at 11am.

ESTON - Wreath-laying and noon service at war memorial, Eston Square.

GRANGETOWN - Short service and 11am wreath-laying at cenotaph.

GUISBOROUGH - 10.30am parade to cenotaph, wreath-laying and service at St Nicholas.

Hartlepool - A ceremony in Victory Square will be conducted by the Reverend David Webster, at 10.55am. Buglers from the Sea Cadets will sound the Last Post at 11am to signal the start of the two minute silence, which will be followed by the laying of the wreaths. The parade before and after the service will be led by the South Durham Pipes and Drums. Hartlepool Silver Band will also play.

HARTLEPOOL - The service at Redheugh Gardens, on the Headland, will be conducted by the Reverend Peter Kashouris, at 10.55am. A parade before and after the service will be led by the Boys Brigade. It will start from Church Walk along Prissick Street and Cliff Street. Buglers from the Boys Brigade will sound the Last Post to mark the start of a two-minute silence at 11am.

LAZENBY - Noon service, wreath-laying at cenotaph.

LINGDALE - 1.45pm Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying at war memorial.

LOFTUS - 10am service at St Joseph's, with parade to cenotaph for wreath-laying Act of Remembrance.

MARSKE - 10.45am service at St Mark's, followed by wreath-laying.

MIDDLESBROUGH - Service and wreath-laying at the cenotaph, off Linthorpe Road, at 10.45am.

MOORSHOLM - 10.50am Act of Remembrance, followed by service at St Mary's.

NEW MARSKE - 2.40pm parade to 3pm service at St Thomas.

NORMANBY - 11am Saturday service and wreath-laying at cenotaph, Smiths Dock Park.

NORTH SKELTON - 2pm Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying at cenotaph.

NORTON - A service will be held in St Michael's Church, Imperial Avenue, at 3pm.

ORMESBY - 9.45am service at St Cuthbert's, 10.30am wreath-laying at war memorial.

PORT CLARENCE - The parade will form at Clarences Enterprise Centre from 2.30pm, followed by a service at the war memorial at 3pm.

REDCAR - The Royal British Legion parade leaves the Royal British Legion Club in Coatham Road at 10.40am marching to the war memorial for an 11am service.

SALTBURN - 9.30am parade to Church of Emmanuel for 10am service, followed by march to cenotaph for wreath-laying.

SKELTON - 10am service at Methodist Church, followed by 11am wreath-laying at cenotaph.

SOUTH BANK - 11am service and wreath-laying.

STOCKTON - The parade assembles in Yarm Lane at 10.25am, before moving off for a service at the cenotaph beside the parish church at 10.50am, followed by a service at the parish church. The parade then goes down the High Street where Mayor Jean O'Donnell will take a salute.

Thornaby - The parade marches off from Thornaby Ex-Servicemen's Club car park at 10am for a service in St Luke's Church followed by a service at the Cenotaph, Acklam Road at 11am.

YARM - A service will be held in the Parish Church at 9.30am, followed at 10.30am by a procession to the war memorial for the wreath-laying ceremony at 10.55am.

NORTH YORKSHIRE

Harrogate - Parade from Albert Street to the war memorial at 10.30am, for an 11am ceremony, followed by a gathering at the Stonefall Cemetery at 12.45pm to commemorate the Commonwealth War Graves. A wreath-laying ceremony also takes place at Starbeck war memorial, at 3pm.

LEYBURN - Parade assembles at the town hall at 10.45am for act of remembrance and wreath-laying at the War Memorial at 11am, followed by a service at St Peter and St Paul RC Church.

RIPON - Parade assembles at Spa Baths at 10.45am and the remembrance ceremony takes place at Spa Gardens, at 10.50am.

THIRSK - Church service at St Mary's Church at 9.30am, followed by a parade to Sowerby. The act of remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony is at 11am at Sowerby war memorial.

YORK - Parade assembles at the Eye of York at 10.30am and marches to the memorial Gardens, Leeman Road. At 11am, the Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony takes place before the parade returns.

ON MONDAY

HARROGATE - Assemble at the Harrogate War Memorial at 10.45am and maroons will be lit and the two minutes silence observed at 11am.

THIRSK - Parade assembles at the Town Clock in the market place at 10.45am. Maroons fired at 11am to mark the two-minute silence.

YORK - Assemble at the Station Rise Railway Memorial at 10.45am and the Royal British Legion will join with railway staff in observing two minutes silence.

SOUTH DURHAM

EVENWOOD - Rembrance service at St Paul's Church, with wreath-laying, at 10.45am at the cenotaph in Evenwood Cemetery.

BISHOP AUCKLAND - Parade assembles in the market place at 10am for prayers and the laying of wreaths, before going on to a service at St Andrew's Church, South Church, at 11am.

Crook - Procession meets at 2.30pm in the Health Centre, Hope Street, Crook, before going on to St Catherine's Church for a memorial service. Laying of wreaths at cenotaph outside the Civic Centre at 3.40pm.

EASTGATE - Service at All Saints church at 3pm.

FERRYHILL - Lord Lieutenant's Representative Colonel Keith Calder will join the mayors of Sedgefield Borough Council and Ferryhill Town Council, and chairman of Durham County Council, in parade which leaves the market place car park at 9.45am. Service in St Luke's Church at 10am, followed by march to cenotaph for service, wreath- laying and last post.

FROSTERLEY - Service at 10.30am in St Michael's Church.

MIDDRIDGE - Villagers will gather at the war memorial for service at noon.

NEWTON AYCLIFFE - Parade leaves TA Armory Centre, opposite Royal British Legion Club, at 10.30am on Sunday. Two minutes silence and wreath-laying at St Clare's Church at 11am, followed by church service.

ROOKHOPE - Service at St John The Evangelist Church, at 3pm.

SEDGEFIELD - Remembrance service at St Edmund's Parish Church at 10.15am, followed by laying of wreaths at the war memorial.

SHILDON - A service takes place at the newly-located war memorial in Redworth Road, on Saturday, at 11am. People will assemble at the King William Pub at 10.45am on Sunday for the parade. Service takes place at the cenotaph outside St John's Church at 11am.

Spennymoor - A united service of remembrance starts at 10am in the Town Hall, followed by parade to the cenotaph in Cheapside at 10.45am, accompanied by Spennymoor Town Band.

STANHOPE - Service in St Thomas's Church at 3pm.

ST JOHN'S CHAPEL - Parish church at 10.15am.

WESTGATE - Service in the village hall at 10.30am.

WILLINGTON - Lillian Bennett presents an ornamental plate in memory of the dead from the first and second world wars and other conflicts, at a service in the Catholic church at 6pm on Saturday. The laying of wreaths and parade takes place at 2.30pm at the cenotaph in Low Wolsingham on Sunday followed by a church service at St Stephen's.

TYNESIDE

GATESHEAD - The service will commence at 10.45am at the Cenotaph on Prince Consort Road, and includes a wreath-laying ceremony followed by a march-past outside the central library on Prince Consort Road and the Mayor of Gateshead will take the salute. There will be another Service of Remembrance held at the Salvation Army Citadel on Warwick Street, at 6.30pm.

BIRTLEY - The parade will leave the community centre, Ravensworth Road, at 10.35am and proceed to the Cenotaph for 10.45am for a short Remembrance Service. There will be a two-minute silence, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony. Cenotaph gates close 4.30pm.

CHOPWELL - Remembrance Service and wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the cenotaph. Assemble at 10.45am.

DUNSTON - Assemble at St Nicholas Church at 10am for a United Churches Service of Remembrance, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial.

FELLING - A Communion Service will be held at St Mary's Church at 9.30am followed by an Act of Remembrance (wreath and cross-laying ceremony) at the Garden of Remembrance, at 10.45am. If wet, the service will be held in St Mary's Church. Please note, there will be no procession from Holly Hill.

HIGH SPEN - A service will commence at 9am at St Patrick's Church followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at 10am.

MARLEY HILL - Assemble at St Cuthbert's Church at 10.15am for an Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying.

NEWCASTLE - Lord Mayor, Councillor John Marshall, will lay wreaths at war memorials at Barras Bridge at 10.10am, before two minutes' silence and service at Eldon Square War Memorial, at 11am. Following service, those present will proceed to dais in front of Grey's Monument, where the Lord Mayor will take the salute at the march past of the parade.

METROCENTRE - Shoppers and shop staff will asked to observe two minutes' silence at 11am. Remembrance service in Exhibition Square, next to Woolworths, taken by former MetroCentre chaplain Canon Lyn Jamieson, lasting 45 minutes followed by wreath-laying led by councillor Peter Maughan on behalf of Gateshead Council and Alan Parks, on behalf of Northumbria Police. Musical accompaniment by Ovington Tynedale Band.

ROWLANDS GILL - Assemble at the cenotaph for a wreath-laying ceremony at noon.

RYTON - A Service of the Word will be held at Holy Cross Church at 10.15am, followed by an Act of Remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial at 11am.

SWALWELL - Assemble at the Holy Trinity Church, Hexham Old Road, for Holy Communion, at 9am, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at 10am.

WHICKHAM - Assemble Fellside Road at 10.30am and proceed to the war memorial for a wreath-laying ceremony at 11am, followed by the service in St Mary's Church.

DARLINGTON

* Remembrance service at Holy Trinity Church at 10am. Afterwards, ex-service organisations at the Royal British Legion will march from Vane Terrace to the cenotaph in the Memorial Gardens for short service, with wreath-laying.

* At 2.30pm, ex-service organisations and the Royal British Legion will march from the West Cemetery car park to the war graves cenotaph for another service.

* Remembrance service at All Saints Church, in Ravensdale Road, Blackwell, at 10.30am, with uniformed parade, parish communion and formal act of remembrance. At 6.30pm, there will be a Celtic service for peace.

* Service at St James the Great Church, Barton Street, at 10am, with solemn Requiem Mass and an act of remembrance.

* St Andrew's Church, in Haughton Green, Haughton-le-Skerne, will hold a service at 10am, followed by a uniformed parade to the war memorial.

* At 10.45am, Northgate United Reformed Church, in Northgate, will hold a remembrance service and wreath-laying.

TEESDALE

LAITHKIRK - Service at the Holy Barn Church at 10.55am.

COTHERSTONE - Service at St Cuthbert's Church at 10.55am, before laying of wreath at the war memorial in the cemetery.

ROMALDKIRK - Short service at St Romald's Church at 12.15pm, followed by laying of wreath and reading of names.

BARNARD CASTLE - Service at St Mary's Church, at 10.45am for 11am start and wreath-laying. A two-minute silence will be observed at 11am. Service followed by parade march to the war memorial at the Bowes Museum, where a further service of remembrance will take place at noon.

COCKFIELD - Service at Cockfield Methodist Church at 10.30am, followed wreath-laying at the cenotaph on the village green, at 11am.

INGLETON - Service at St John's Church at 10.45am and unveiling of new war memorial.

LYNESACK - Service at St John's Church at 10.30am, followed by wreath laying at the cenotaph in Butterknowle at 11am.

MIDDLETON-IN-TEESDALE - Joint service at St Mary's Parish Church, at 10am, followed by wreath-laying at the cenotaph.

STAINDROP - Service at St Mary's Church at 10.45am. People to be seated by 10.40am. Laying of wreaths will take place during the service at the war memorial inside the church.

ANNFIELD PLAIN AND CATCHGATE - Parade leaves the Co-op store in Annfield Plain at 1.30pm. Service and wreath laying at St Aidan's Church, at 2pm.

BLACKHILL - Service in St Mary's RC Church, 11am, followed by wreath laying.

CASTLESIDE - Parish Eucharist of Remembrance, at St John's Parish Church, at 9.30am, followed by act of remembrance and wreath laying at cenotaph, at 11am, repeated at 3pm.

Consett - Parade leaving Parliament Street at 10.40am for wreath laying at civic centre war memorial in Medomsley Road, at 11am, followed by ecumenical service in Civic Hall, Consett, at 11.10am.

CRAGHEAD - Service and wreath-laying at the war memorial, 10.45am

LANCHESTER - Ecumenical service on The Green at 9.30am, including wreath-laying by local ward councillors, followed by separate services in three village churches.

LEADGATE - Wreath-laying and service at Durham Road war memorial at 10.45am.

SHOTLEY BRIDGE - Service and wreath-laying at war memorial at 3pm.

STANLEY - Service at St Andrew's Church at 9.45am, followed by wreath- laying at the cenotaph.

BRANDON/MEADOWFIELD - Joint service at St John's Church, Meadowfield, at 11am, including last post and wreath-laying, with further wreath-laying at cenotaph in Brandon Village at noon.

CHESTER-LE-STREET - Parade leaving from civic centre rear car park at 10.15am, to St Mary and St Cuthbert Parish Church, in Church Chare, for service at 10.45am, including wreath-laying and silence at war memorial, at 11am.

DURHAM - Durham Cathedral Remembrance Day service at 10.15am, including address by the Bishop of Jarrow, the Right Reverend John Pritchard, and wreath-laying at war memorial. It will be followed by a parade at about 11.30am from Palace Green to Market Place, where the Mayor of Durham, Councillor Eileen Rochford, and Lieutenant Colonel Duncan Hopkins, commanding officer of the Tyne-Tees regiment, will take the salute.

FRAMWELLGATE MOOR - Church Lads and Girls parade leaving from outside the Salutation Inn at 10.30am, for service at St Aidan's Church, including two-minute silence and wreath-laying. Following service, the parade heads to war memorial, near the Salutation, for wreath-laying ceremony.

HOUGHTON-LE-SPRING - Parade leaving Station Road car park, outside Colliery Welfare Hall, at 9.30am, for service at St Michael and All Angels Parish Church, at 10am, followed by silence, Last Post and wreath-laying at cenotaph, at 11am. The parade returns to Station Road car park at about 11.15am.

MEDOMSLEY - Service at St Mary Magdalene Church, at 9.30am, prior to wreath-laying at cenotaph, at 10am, followed by dedication of Garden of Remembrance with wreath laid by 13-year-old ATC member Daniel John Diver.

ON MONDAY

CHESTER-LE-STREET - Members of public, council employees and councillors gather in the civic centre mall for 10.55am, with an Act of Remembrance read shortly before 11am, prior to two-minute silence and ended by the firing of maroons (naval rockets) in the civic centre grounds.

DURHAM - Civic group gather at steps of Town Hall between 10.45 and 11am for observation of two-minute silence, with Royal British Legion standards, trumpeter and padre in attendance.

EAST DURHAM

Peterlee - Parade leaving Peterlee Sports and Social Club, the former Royal British Legion Club, in Ellison Road, at 10.30am, with salute to be taken by Chief Superintendent Trevor Watson and Mayor Ann Wake, for service at St Cuthbert's Church.

SEAHAM - Parade from Tempest Road, adjacent to Rock House Community Association, at 10.45am, for wreath-laying at war memorial on Terrace Green, North Terrace, by Mayor Peter Campbell and Durham's Deputy Lord Lieutenant David Clifford, followed by ecumenical open air service taken by the Reverend Graeme Pollock, vicar of St John's Church.

WEARSIDE

SUNDERLAND - One of the biggest Remembrance events outside London takes place in Sunderland with full-time and reserve armed forces personnel mustering at 10am at the rear of the civic centre at the top of Burdon Road for parade starting at 10.35am. The procession leads to war memorial at bottom of Burdon Road for Remembrance Service at 10.50am. Wreath- laying begun by Mayoress Mrs Betty Gibson and concluded by Mrs Freda McKay, the mother of the late Sergeant Ian McKay, and Mrs Sara Jones, widow of the late Lt Colonel 'H' Jones, both winners of posthumous Victoria Cross medals for gallantry in the Falklands War. The civic party relocates to the front of Sunderland Museum, in Borough Road, at 11.20am to take salute with Lieutenant Colonel Gerry McBride, the officer commanding 251 Field Ambulance regiment of the Territoiral Army. The march past concludes on Toward road at 11.30am.
