PEOPLE in the Sedgefield borough have started receiving postal information about their local health services.
The leaflet, called Your Guide to Local Health Services, produced by Sedgefield Primary Care Trust, is being distributed to all homes in the borough.
Some have received leaflets. The rest will be sent out by the end of November.
The guide gives information about services provided by the trust and includes telephone numbers and addresses of GPs, dentists, NHS Direct, hospitals and accident and emergency departments.
It also tells people about the work of the trust, including what it spent money on last year, how it intends to bring about improvements in health services, how it is performing according to local and national targets, and how people can become involved in helping its work.
