The Crook Partnership has already received a Wear Valley Community Network Grant to have the plans drawn up.

WORKING SNAPS: Dean Chapman has an exhibition of photographs in Crook Library which portray life in the South West Durham Coalfields.

Mr Chapman's work shows the respect he has for the people in South West Durham and his photographs include the congregation at St Thomas's Church, Stanley, Crook.

HISTORY BOOK: Michael Manuel hopes to have his book, Crook at Work and Play, on sale on Monday.

The book has 500 photographs which depict life in Crook since 1893. The book will be available from Lincolns Newsagents, Gills Newsagents, or from the Crook Community Partnership office.
