Bishop Auckland will give new keeper John Caffrey his debut as they try to climb away out of the bottom three in their away game at Farsley Celtic today.
Manager Brian Honour has brought in Caffrey from Whitley Bay to replace former Darlington keeper Keith Finch, who has been released.
"What I've found since I came into this league is that teams tend to put a lot of high balls into your box. John will give us a presence in there," said Honour, who also signed midfielder Lee Peachey from Middlesbrough.
Spennymoor, who are at home to Ossett Town, expect to complete the signing of Stuart Brightwell from Durham City before the game, as manager Tony Lee increases his squad even further.
"We've shaken hands on the deal, but he's not available until next week," said Lee.
"He won't be the last. I'm looking at more players."
Midfielder Stephen Bell will return after suspension, while Andrew Shaw will have a fitness test.
