A YOUNGSTER can tuck in after winning first prize in a competition - her height in sweets.
Rebecca Smith took part in a regional contest, held at the Centre for Life in Newcastle, to design a pair of jeans.
She was one of 16 year eight pupils from Greencroft School in Lanchester, County Durham, to enter the contest, which was part of the National Jeans for Genes campaign.
Rebecca won her height in chocolate after she decorated her jeans with a DNA double helix.
Fellow pupils Rachel Allison and Rachel McCauley were runners- up and also won prizes of sweets.
