HELPING others to overcome their fears of computers has landed a Durham man a job.
David Rider, 38, of Langley Park, has worked as a Pathfinder Project volunteer at the town's community centre since January. This week, his voluntary work has turned into a paid job at the centre.
His new role includes making sure the IT equipment is in good order, coordinating computer activities and helping residents to acquire basic computing skills.
He said: "If I had not become involved with Pathfinders, I simply would not have this job, as I would not have had the opportunity to prove myself capable of doing the work.
