BRIGHT sparks have enjoyed a day of learning with a national power company.
Pupils at Catchgate Primary School, near Stanley, County Durham, spent a day working with a team from energy supplier npower. Activities included teamwork, renewable energy, health and fitness and the power of the mind.
Ken Joel, headteacher, said: "It is great that npower gave us such an excellent day. Everyone really enjoyed the activities and it provided a great opportunity for pupils to learn outside the traditional classroom surroundings. It is easy for them to forget that they are learning when they are having so much fun at the same time."
