A support group for people with mental health problems in Hambleton and Richmondshire has received a £300 boost from the Yorkshire Building Society.
The cash for Mental Health Support has come from the building society's Richmond branch through its Small Change, Big Difference scheme, funded by customers who donate their pence interest from various accounts.
Maureen O'Neiil, project manager for Mental Health Support, said the money would help pay for a holiday for a small group of people who otherwise would not enjoy such an opportunity.
John Edgar, a voluntary director with the group, added: "It is not just the money but also the realisation of the people concerned that people care enough to give, and in doing so recognise the very isolating nature of mental health problems."
