PARENTS and staff have joined forces to give a Durham nursery a new lease of life.
Laurel Avenue Nursery has been given a makeover, costing several thousands of pounds, to bring it up-to-date.
Parents helped raise some of the money by getting involved with raffles and other events and have now formed a fundraising committee. They also helped decorate the interior of the nursery, in calming pastel colours.
Restructuring work at the nursery, which is part of Laurel Avenue Community Primary School, was funded by the local education authority.
