A PUBLIC exhibition looking at a ten-year Route Management Strategy (RMS) for the A69 road between Newcastle and Carlisle has gone on display.
The Highways Agency exhibition is on show at Denton Burn Library, near Newcastle. The RMS looks at improving the West Denton junction between the A1 and the A69, plus increasing opportunities for overtaking along the whole stretch of the A69.

CHRISTMAS FAIR: Baltic Square, on Gateshead Quayside is hosting a Christmas fair, from Friday, November 29, to Sunday, December 1. There will be more than 20 stalls selling gifts such as paintings, crafts and cakes, plus locally-made cheeses and mince pies.
KEEP FIT: The Park View Community Association is running a keep fit class for men every Tuesday. The classes are held at the Chester-le-Street centre's North Lodge site from 8pm to 9pm.
CLASSICAL CONCERT: Violinist Thomas Zehetmair leads Northern Sinfonia in Hartmann's Concerto Funebre, followed by two Franz Schubert symphonies, in a concert in Newcastle City Hall tonight at 7.45pm. Tickets are available on 0191-443 4555.
JAZZ ACT: Joe Lovano, one of the jazz world's leading saxophonists and composers, visits Durham's Gala Theatre on his first UK tour with his ten-piece ensemble. He performs on Sunday, November 24, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £22, £17 and £8.50.
PUDSEY RETURNS: Pudsey Bear makes his annual visit to Gateshead on Saturday, where he will open Father Christmas's Grotto in the Indoor Market, at 10.30am. The theme of the grotto this year is a Teddy Bear's woodland workshop.
POLISH STRINGS: The Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra gives a concert in Newcastle City Hall tomorrow, from 7.45pm. Tickets, priced £7, are available on 0191-443 4555.
NEW LIFEBOAT: South Tyneside College has taken delivery of a £60,000 marine training lifeboat at its centre on the River Tyne.
