Willington Brewer's Droop B extended their lead at the top of the table to four points when they beat their hosts at Hunwick Club in the clash between the leaders. Hunwick moved two ahead when David Thompson and Robert Todd won but Bill Saunders and Jimmy Fleming levelled the match. In the decider, Shona Britton took the Brewer's to victory when she beat Paul Maddison in the decider. Willington Lion and Unicorn are in third place, just one point behind Hunwick Club.

Tow Law & District League

Lanchester King's Head repeated their success of last season when they won the Captain's Table again with sixteen points. Tow Law New Market B took the runners-up spot with 15 points, whilst Tow Law Rose and Crown finished ion third place with 14 points.

The other positions and points were 4th equal Tow Law Football Club and Sunniside Comedian 12 each; 6th equal Hamilton Row Black Horse, Tow Law Dan's Castle B and Tow Law New Market A 11 each; 9th Tow Law North Point 10; 10th Tow Law Cattle Mart 9; 11th Tow Law Dan's Castle A 6 and 12th Esh Football Club 5.

Tow Law Area League

Tow Law New Market B went down by the odd point at second placed Newhouse Club but still hold on to a five points lead. However, Esh Stag's Head only dropped two points to the visiting Tow Law Rose and Crown to move into third place, only six points behind the leaders but with two matches in hand.

Tom Dowson gave the league leaders a good start at Newhouse but Eric Rowlands and Steve Conway moved the home side ahead. Doris Elsbury took a second point for the visitors before Ossie Jones and John Gilchrist moved Newhouse further ahead. The home side clinched victory by taking the first doubles but the visitors kept the score respectable by taking the final two doubles.

Willington League

The Prospect Club managed to come away from Willington Club with an odd point victory after edging through the singles and sharing the doubles. The home side had singles points from Tommy Liddle and Alan Walker, whilst Gillian McAloon, Dave Leighton and Paul Morris put the Prospect ahead. The visitors clinched certain victory when Tommy McAloon and Paul Morris took the first doubles but the home side made the score respectable when Scott Liddle and Steven Hutchinson took the final doubles.

Willington Black Horse Tavern lead the table by three points from Willington Black Horse Inn, who are one ahead of Willington Burn and Willington Brewer's Droop.
