PELTON Fell bounced back from a goal down to book themselves a place in the third round proper of the Durham County FA Sunday Cup following an excellent odd goal in three away win at South Shields Fad Continentals.
The Fell found themselves a goal down at half time but hit back strongly to earn a deserved win with goals from Andrew Cuthbertson and Danny Bankhead which in turn means they are now exempt until the first round proper next season.
Stanley had a crushing 12-1 home win in the league over South Moor Sports to go clear at the top of the table.There was hat-tricks for man of the match David Hagan (3) and Kraig Armstrong (3) along with doubles from Martin Frost, Craig Suggett and Kelvin Armstrong with the South Moor consolation a Michael Gray penalty.
Stanley Masons Arms were at home to Stanley RAFA and found themselves a goal down when David Maughan scored.
However the Masons pushed on and got a deserved equaliser from Mark Hutchinson to level it up by the break. The RAFA got a second some ten minutes after the restart through Lewis Carr Slones and went 3-1 up with Maughan's second. An Ian McAllister penalty ten minutes from time made it a grandstand finish but the RAFA managed to hold out.
In the Stanley Aged Miners Cup, Felling Mulberry played Craghead and found themselves a goal up through Andy Case. But, it proved to be a false dawn as after having a player sent off they could do nothing as Craghead rattled in nine unanswered second half goals.
