Stanhope Town consolidated fifth place with a home win against Tow Law Cattle Mart. The Mart took a fourth minute lead through Peter Brown but Louis Fraser equalised ten minutes later. Andy Lee put Stanhope ahead and the Mart had a player sent off just before half time. A solo goal from Gary Parker made it 3-1 and Paul McCain gave Stanhope a 4-1 win.

Darren Bryan (2), Kevin Burke (2) and Michael Lee were the scorers for Howden Australian who beat Roddymoor 5-2 to earn their third consecutive win. Alan Hawkey (2,1pen) replied for the losers.

Rugby Club led twice in the first half of the South Durham Bowl tie with Middleton St George with both goals coming from Mark Foster but the visitors came back to 2-2 at half time. The game went to extra time and St George went 4-2 up. Foster completed his hat trick from a penalty but Middleton St George held on for a narrow win.

West Auckland Queens Head saw off early pressure from Low Fell St Peters in the Durham Minor Cup before completing a comfortable win. Anthony Bailes (2), Matthew Moffatt and Paul Vickers scored in the Queen's 4-0 victory.

After an even goalless first half Hartlepool The Warrior went three up at Crook Wanderers. Lee Furber pulled a consolation goal back near the end. Malcolm McWilliams gave Willington WMC a first minute lead at Bensham Arms. The visitors equalised almost immediately and led 2-1 at half time with Willington having a man sent off. Two late goals gave Bensham Arms a 4-1 win.

Evenwood White Swan went down 7-1 at Shuttle and Loom. Craig Wren netted for the Swan.

Byers Green St Peters were unlucky losers going down 4-3 at Sunderland Supporters Reserves whilst Wearhead United went down 5-0 at Sunderland Gates.
