Ithis top of the table clash both teams got off to a lively start with both teams showing their attacking intentions but it was Simply who looked the sharper opening the scoring on 9 mins with Sophie Dowson scoring the first goal of the game. One minute later Zoe Cooke scored for the visitors to extend their lead this was after a controversial incident where the ball hit the bar and came out into the keepers hands but the ref adjudged the ball to have crossed the line. Marton picked up the pace in the 2nd period to see Marton battling hard to get backinto the game scoring their 1st on 20 mins from Becky Robinson the score remained at 2-1 to the visitors until the final period. Marton then hit 3 quick goals with the goals coming from Laura Wilson, Becky Robinson and Steph Chisman to maintain Martons unbeaten record and end Simply Lasses 100%record. layers of the match were samantha Conroy for Marton and Nicita Cadman for the visitors.

B'ham Girls 4 v 6 Stockton West End

Both sides started stongly with chances being created by both sides, it was the haome team who opened the scoring on 4 minutes with a goal from Rachel Turner Holmes. Billingham hit the net a further 3 times before half time with the goals coming from Amy Plummer (2) and Jessica Close. Stockton then started to fight back with goals from Lena Robinson, sara Ellis and Rebecca Moore (2) with 2 own goals this gave the visitors maximum points. Players of the match were Amy Plummer for Billingham and Rebekah jennings for the visitors.

Low Fell 0 v 11 SAFC 24/7 Girls

Low Fell battled well against a strong Sunderland team who remain unbeaten this season. As Sunderland pushed forward the plucky defence of Low Fell kept the visitors at bay only allowing them to score 1 goal in the first period. The 2nd period saw Sunderland apply the pressure and extend the lead to 8 goals but credit to Low Fell they kept battling once again allowing the visitors to score only 1 more goal in the 3rd period. The final 15 mins saw Sunderland extend the final score to 11-0 to the visitors. Players of the match were Sophie Parish for Low Fell and Abby Holmes for the visitors.

Lumley Lasses 2 v 2 Cramlington

A very close match between 2 evevnly matched sides, in which 1 goal was scored in each quarter. Lumley took the lead in the first quarter only to see Cramlington equalise and then take the lead. Lumley pulled a goal back in the final quarter to make the final score 2-2. In heavy conditions both sides coped well and saw Emma Preston and Rachel Barnes get players of the match.

Under-12s Cup

M'brough FITC 3 v 5 Spraire Lass.

Spraire settled into the game the better of the two sides scoring their first after a good move which was well finished by Laura Gowling. Middlesbrough responded straight from the kick off with a goal from Becky Stephenson, only to see Spraire take the lead again through Gowling. Spraire scored again with goals from the nippy Jordan Atkinson (2) and Rachel McKnight. Middlesbrough did not give in though and continued to fight to the end with (2) goals from Rachel Duncan. Spraire keeper had to pull of several fingertip saves near the end of the game. Player of the match for Spraire was Helen McTague and for Middlesbrough was Lydia Brown. A game that was played in good spirit with the spectators from both teams applauding the players as they left the pitch.

South Durham Royals 0 v 1 Norton and Stockton

This was a typical cup tie with both sides showing spirit and commitment from start to finish.Both sides came close to scoring but Steph Hartley in goal for Royals saved. Royals were through on goal with only the keeper to beat but failed to capitalise with the score remaining goal less at full time. The cup tie then went into extra time with the only goal coming from a goal mouth scramble and the ball trickling over the line scored by Rebecca Saliki to give the tie to Norton & Stockton. Player of the match for Royals was Alex Saunders and for Norton & Stockton was Phillipa Thomas.

Under-13s

Norton & Stockton 4 v 6 Newcastle

Norton started well and were leading 1-0 and then 2-1 but struggled against the skill and pace of player of the match Ruth Sutcliffe. Newcastle dominated the second and third periods and went 5-2 up. NASA brought the score back to 5-4 before conceding a last minute goal making the final score 6-4. NASA player of the match was Andrea Tomkins. Scorers were (NASA):- Hayley Pratt (4) and (Newcastle):- Claire Stubbs (2), Ruth Sutcliffe (3) and Elizabeth Tulip (1)

Under-13s Cup

Blyth Tn. 8 v 2 South Durham Royals

Blyth started with some great attacking football and opened the scoring only to see Royals pull a goal back. Blyth increased their lead to 7-1. Royals scored a second before Blyth completed the scoring. South Durham battled all over the pitch and the game was played in a competetive spirit by both teams. Scorers were:-(Blyth) Tracy Corbett (2), (Jodie Kendall (3) and Sophie Wallace (3). (South Durham) Lauren McDonnell (2). Players of the match were Hannah Chisholm and Lauren McDonnell.

Lumley Lass. 3 v 0 North Shields Jun.

Despite a very heavy pitch both teams fought out an entertaining cup tie with Lumley coming out on top. Lumley took the lead in the first quarter and although Lumley dominated, North Shields were dangerous on the break. Lumley finished the scoring with 2 late goals. Players of the match were Kristina Minto and Stephanie Towns

St. Francis 3 v 1 Lumley Lasses

This was a fantastic game of end to end football. St. Francis opened the scoring through Sarah Pout and went further ahead through Sophie Taylor. In the second period Lumley scored a well taked goal through J. Dinning but St. Francis scored straight from the break through Helen McCamley. Players of the match were Rebecca Smith and C. Tongue.
