IT was the end of the road for the two survivors in the Durham FA Sunday Cup with neither First Division leaders Stateside or Division Two outfit Lanchester Social managing a goal between them.
Lanchester were beaten 5-0 by Bishop Auckland Tindale Crescent while Stateside went out 2-0 to the Billingham Arms.
Craghead, inspired by Gary Messer, produced a devastating second half display in the Stanley Aged Miners Cup. Trailing 1-0 at the interval, Messer then hit four goals and there was a couple for Paul Quinn as Craghead's cruised to a 9-1 win.
In the Consett Charity Cup, John Shaw and Terry Shaw both scored twice as Delves United sent Scotch Arms crashing out 8-0.
Annfield Plain Cricket Club moved to within five points of Stateside when a Mick McGee pair saw them produce an impressive 6-2 home win over the previously second placed Leadgate Golden Lion.
Ivan Moxon's hat-trick saw Towneley Arms to a 5-2 win over Blackhill Comrades to move sixth while AK Leisure beat off the Highwayman's brave challenge 5-3.
In Division Two, both Craig Wayman and Kevin Turnbull scored twice in a 5-3 Steel Club home win over Black Horse while Tantobie were 2-0 home victors against Chopwell.
Consett Top Club beat the Peacock Inn 8-1 with three goals from Tony Dalglish, two each for Andy Gillingham and Paul Miller and the other from Simon Thompson.
Michael Brough scored twice in a 5-1 Dipton Bird Inn over the Freemasons in Division Three.
Dean Laddie blasted four goals and David Newton two as Horse & Groom won a thriller 8-5 against the Board Inn while the Smelters saw off Prince of Wales 7-4.
David Rainbow was the star of the show as Duke of Wellington beat the Swalwell Poacher 4-1.
