The Durham County Sunday Football Association Cup took preference over League fixtures, only one game being played in the Premiership which saw Spennymoor Admiral Heating being 4-3 home winners over Sedgefield St Edmunds. Steve Quinn (2), Michael Jackson and Steve Jackson scored for the home side with John Holvey, Richard Bayles and John Maddison replying for Sedgefield.
In the DFA Sunday Cup Meadowfield Brancepeth Castle were winners over Stockton Portrack Cons, Newton Aycliffe Wmc defeated Hartlepool Supporters Association, Houghton Glendale were winners over Shotton Comrades, Hetton New Inn were winners over visitors Darlington Hurworth Albion, Sherburn Lambton Arms needed penalties to beat visitors and one of the favourites to win the Cup, Stockton Blytholme Social Club.
Chilton Wmc beat Stockton Rosegale, Murton Village Inn crashed out of the competition losing at South Shields Simonside Club.
In the First Division Belmont Sportsmans were 3-2 winners at home to Sacriston Wmc. Belmont took an early lead when a deflected Stephen Edwards' shot wrong footed the keeper. However, by the break, Belmont were facing a 2-1 deficit. Belmont started brightly in the second half and Burn levelled early on. On 60 minutes, Burn scored an individual goal which proved to be the winner.
In the Second Division Washington Dunlop Tyres were too strong for visitors Ushaw Moor Cricket Club, the Tyre Men winning 4-1. Dave Pybus, Gary McArtney (2) and an own goal providing the goal.
A goal from Greg Chapman gave Langley Park WMC the points in a fine 1-0 away win at Houghton Mill All Stars. Chris Taylor was on form, hitting a hat-trick for the Jovial Monk as they were 4-3 winners at New Herrington Flighters, Graeme Cole adding the fourth, Michael Forster, Michael Murphy and Dave Herron replied for the Flighters.
In the Third Division a Shaun Morris goal gave Houghton Comrades the points in the 1-0 win at Durham Bede Lodge. Goals from Michael Atkinson and Darren Feasey gave the Coach and Eight a 2-1 home win over the Brittania Inn, Houghton Chilton Lodge were 4-1 home winners against Kirk Merrington Half Moon.
In the Fourth Division Horners and visitors Lumley Snooker shared the points in the 1-1 draw, Dave Sawyer for Horners and Ritchie Tiffin for the visitors.
Brandon Sports won 3-2 at Langley Park Sports and Social thanks to goals from Tony Keoghan, Paul Webster and Michael Fort. James Cutler and Graham Powell replying for Langley. Highest scoring game of the day saw Waterhouses win 8-2 against visitors Witton Gilbert White Tunn, a hat-trick each for Paul Taylor, Mark Welsh plus two fine strikes from Paul Taylor.
In the Racing Promotions Trophy Durham City WMC were 4-3 home winners against Kelloe Wmc. Newton Hall were 3-2 winners at Burnmoor Cricket Club in the Justsport League Cup, and in the Durham City AFC Supporters Cup Lambton Village were winners at Bearpark Wmc. Ouston Red Lion were home winners against Esh McKennas, Lakeside won at Pelton Fleece and Witton Gilbert Wmc beat visitors Burnmoor Dunn Cow
