YOUNGSTERS from Middlesbrough primary schools were in for treat when two best-selling children's authors put on a show at Berwick Hills Library.
Dressed as characters from the Hollywood hit Men in Black, Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore acted out their own play to encourage children to read more.
The pair, who wrote the Lost Diaries series, are in the region to take part in the Northern Children's Book Festival.
Rita Wilson, who helped organise the visit, said: "They are really good at what they do and the children really enjoyed it.
"We use all kinds of imaginative ways to get them interested because you can't just expect people to use the libraries just because they are there.
"People sometimes think they are boring and our job is to show them they are not."
Children from Pallister Park and North Ormesby primary schools took time out to watch the pair perform the play.
