Hunwick Joiners Arms moved up into second place in the table after they beat the visiting Willington Cottles by five points.
The Joiners had singles wins from Ian Richardson, David Alderson, Kevin Dunnett and John Mason, whilst Cottles replied through John Barron and Kenny Louth. The home side then took doubles with wins from Stuart Gill with John Mason and Paul Reidy with David Alderson. Cottles replied with a doubles point from Andrew Robinson and Kenny Louth but the Joiners completed their victory by taking the team game.
Willington Club lead the table by three points but have played an extra game over the following pack led by the Joiners Arms, who are one point ahead of the Black Horse Tavern and two ahead of the Victoria Club.
The draw for the Four-Man Team is Lion & Unicorn B v Black Horse Inn A; Joiners Arms B v Joiners Arms A; Burn A v Victoria A; Commercial A v Joiners Arms C; Prospect B v Black Horse Tavern A; Commercial B v Brown Trout; Victoria B v Cottles B. There are nine byes. Matches to be played before 4 December.
