AN Aladdin's Cave of stolen goods will be on show to the public this weekend.
There are mountain bikes, gardening tools, electrical goods and toys waiting to be claimed. All the items were recovered by Clevland police during Langbaurgh's successful Operation Trident that smashed drug rings, solved 500 burglaries and other crimes and led to the arrest of 90 people.
Police now hope to trace some of the owners of the tens of thousands of pounds of recovered property and make more arrests.
The goods are on show from 10am to noon on Saturday and Sunday at the HQ of Cleveland Police's Road Unit behind Barker and Stonehouse on Middlesbrough's Cannon Park industrial estate.
Police say burglars and drug dealers have been sent reeling in the Langbaurgh area. District commander Chief Supt John Kelly said: "There has been a significant reduction in the number of burglaries...this operation has hit at the heart of criminal activity."
