A HAUL of stolen CDs, mobile phones and games consoles worth about £5,000 was recovered during a police raid on a house.
Officers from Stockton Police Task Force discovered the stash when they raided the house in the Parkfield area of Stockton on Thursday evening.
Officers arrested a man after finding the haul, which included 50 mobile phones and new phone covers.
They also recovered CD and cassette players, CDs, several games consoles and audio equipment. Police believe most of the property was stolen from cars in the Stockton area.
Sergeant Chris White, of Stockton Task Force, said: "Residents in Stockton can help reduce car crime by passing on any information they believe would identify car thieves and recover stolen property.
"With Christmas coming up, it is essential that any items or Christmas presents are not left on show in cars. This is all the invitation thieves need to break in."
Anyone with information on suspected car thieves can contact the Task Force on (01642) 302291.
