Three second half goals stretched Spennymoor's winning run to five matches at Leek on Saturday, writes Ray Simpson.
Moors have stormed up the table in recent weeks, and they are now in ninth place, with at least five games in hand on the clubs above them.
Manager Tony Lee said: "I don't think we deserved to be behind at half time because I thought their goal was offside, but in the second half it was one way traffic."
Leek took the lead through David McPherson on 43 minutes, but Moors levelled after 61 minutes when Jason Ainsley scored with a powerful shot from a pass by Steve Preen.
Moors went 2-1 up after 65 minutes when Steve Bell scored, and Ainsley made sure of the points finishing off a three man move.
Spennymoor's supporters are holding a meeting tonight in the clubhouse at 7.30pm.
Paul Baker got off to a great start as Blyth's new manager when his side won 3-1 at Burscough.
Whitby and Gateshead drew 2-2 at the Turnbull Ground.
Willie Moat put Gateshead into the lead, then Michael Dickinson added the second on 38 minutes. Aaron Wilford pulled one back just before the break, then equalised eight minutes after half time.
