LICENSEES and their customers raised almost £11,400 for good causes during a charity cycle ride.
About 150 people took part in the North Riding Dales Licensed Victuallers Association Charity Bike Ride, sponsored by Masham's Black Sheep Brewery.
The riders, many in fancy dress, cycled from Leyburn to Hawes, enjoying the hospitality of the pubs and hotels along the route.
The Black Sheep Brewery team, which included managing director Paul Theakston, raised £1,275.
The money has been donated to a variety of organisations, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Hawes, Leyburn and Reeth fire stations, the Friarage Hospital at Northallerton, surgeries in Hawes, Leyburn and Reeth, Bainbridge ambulance station and local schools and playgroups.
* Since the annual ride was first held 16 years ago, it has raised a total of £105,500.
