Middlesbrough firm Fred Jones Marble & Granite has provided the kind of polished finish that developer Terrace Hill wants for the "Cube" on Newcastle's Barrack Road.
The two firms plan on making a big first impression for visitors to the building using marble of the highest quality in the reception area with its full height glazed facade.
Fred Jones imported the marble via a factory in Belgium from Rustenburg in South Africa. It will be cut to size and polished in their factory.
Mr Jones, who has been in the business for 20 years, said: "High quality stone work for interiors is very much in demand and orders are placed with us from all over the country for prestigious buildings such as The Cube."
