SCHOOLS across Stockton are to receive awards for displaying a clean bill of health.
Twenty-two schools will be presented with bronze and silver awards under the Stockton Healthy Schools programme tomorrow.
They had to show they were addressing health issues by teaching children about citizenship, physical activity, drugs, safety, and healthy eating.
Seven schools are also in the running for the School of the Year award.
Blakeston, Norton Comprehensive, Thornaby Community, St Patrick's RC Primary, Hartburn Primary, St Michael's RC Comprehensive, and Conyers School are all nominated.
The prize-giving will take place between 3.30pm and 5pm, at Stockton Education Centre, in Junction Road, where Mayor, Councillor Jean O'Donnell, will present the awards.
