A LOVING home is being sought for a stray dog nicknamed the Spennymoor Tramp.
Tramp, a Bedlington-lurcher cross dog, was found roaming the streets of Spennymoor by a dog warden. He had been fed by an elderly woman and local schoolchildren.
The friendly pet was given a temporary home at the Deerness Kennels, in Langley Moor, but it is hoped that more permanent lodgings can be found for him with a new owner. Kevin Forsyth, owner of the kennels, said: "He would suit an energetic person who could give him full time attention. He is definitely an outside dog, who loves to be walked and loves attention. We have put him at about a year or two years, and we have had him for about five or six weeks."
Anyone who would like to offer a home to Tramp can contact the kennels on 0191-378 0439.
