Mick Clay has completed his term of office as captain of Woodham Golf Club and David Bowman has taken over the post for the 2003 season.
During the 2002 season, the team won the North Durham Division Three Championship and Isobel Foley and Richard Ketley reached the final of the Durham County Mixed Foursomes. As well as running the golf teams and open events, Mr Clay raised cash £1,735 for his chosen charities. Aycliffe Cat Protection League received £200; Red Hall Primary School, Darlington, was given £600; £500 was given to the Macmillan Nurses Cancer Relief Fund in South Durham and £435 to BBC Television's Children in Need appeal.
