DISORDER ALLEGED: Three men and a teenage girl appeared in court yesterday charged with violent disorder.
Michael Leslie Carney, 38, of Melland Street, Darlington; Jason James Karl Carney, 32, of Tansley Gardens; Stuart Christopher Atkinson, 21, of Park Crescent; and the 16-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Darlington magistrates.
The case was adjourned until December 3 and all four were granted bail.
CASE ADJOURNED: Four men and a youth accused of violent disorder appeared in court yesterday.
John McStravick, 19, of Hutton Avenue, Andrew Kenneth Robson, 21, of Hammond Drive, Craig Clement, 20, of Belvedere Road, Daniel George Morgan, 21, of Granger Street, all Darlington, and the 16-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were granted bail and will reappear at the court on December 3.
Mr Robson is also accused of criminal damage and the youth is charged with failing to surrender to bail.
ASSAULT CHARGE: A 22-year-old woman appeared before magistrates yesterday on a charge of assaulting another female.
Linsey Robson, of Cotherstone Moor Drive, Darlington, denied the charge. She was granted bail and the case was adjourned to January 7.
DAMAGE CLAIM: A 30-year-old man accused of criminal damage and perverting the course of justice was granted bail by magistrates.
The case against John Stuart, of Hercules Street, Springfield, Darlington, was adjourned until December 10.
BURGLARY CHARGES: A 37-year-old man appeared in court yesterday charged with three counts of burglary, one of attempted deception and one of theft.
The case against Peter Beevers was adjourned until December 10 at Darlington Magistrates' Court.
Mr Beevers was granted bail on condition he reside at an address in Drummond Close, Darlington.
CONDITIONAL BAIL: A man charged with theft was granted conditional bail by Darlington magistrates.
Christopher Corrie, 27, was told he must reside at an address in Barningham Street, Darlington, and must not enter the B&Q store at Morton Park in the town. The case was adjourned until December 10.
SHOPLIFTING CHARGE: A woman appeared in court yesterday accused of stealing a pair of £35 boots from Asda.
Julie Keith, 37, of Lynn Road, Wallsend, pleaded not guilty to the charge. She was granted bail and the case was adjourned until January 7.
HARASSMENT DENIED: A man yesterday denied charges of harassment, common assault and damaging property when he appeared before Darlington magistrates.
Raymond Massey, 52, of West Powlett Street, Darlington, admitted criminal damage to a window. He was granted bail pending a further hearing on January 7.
ASSAULT PLEA: Paul John Hinton, of Hargreave Terrace, Darlington, pleaded not guilty to a charge of common assault at Darlington Magistrates' Court yesterday.
He was granted unconditional bail and ordered to attend a pre-trial review at court on January 7 next year
