MORE than 250 skateboarders from all over North Yorkshire rolled into Northallerton last week for the county's first-ever Skate Fest.
Organised by North Yorkshire County Council's Connecting Youth Culture arts project in partnership with Northallerton's Sketchy Wheelers, the event was staged at the Hambleton Forum.
And the skaters were kept busy with a 12ft indoor half pipe, graffiti art and board customising.
Professional skaters Danny Callow and Mike Forman also shared tips with the skaters.
Event leader Richie Mitchell added: "This was a really amazing event with so many youngsters from all over the county enjoying life to the full."
Live bands rounded off the day which raised £500 for the Northallerton skate park appeal.
